ACE’s electronic manifest allows CBP to quickly determine if incoming cargo is allowed into the country. This will quickly reduce wait times for processing at ports. The electronic manifest also will increase communication allowing enhanced visibility of cargo status through status messages.

One of the major benefits of ACE is the ability to streamline information. There are less forms needed for cargo release because of CBP and PGA cooperation. Specifically, CBP form 3461 is no longer necessary when using ACE.

Through ACE, importers will be able to submit liquidation, reconciliation, drawback, duty deferral, and statements. This will decrease the cost of courier and administration with the elimination of lingering paperwork. With ACE, monthly statements will allow importers to pay duties and fees on a monthly basis as opposed to every transaction.
4. All Partnering Government Agencies (PGAs) in One Spot
Another benefit of ACE is the cooperation of partnering government agencies. The single window system allows importers to put all information in the same place. PGAs have access to this information so there is no need to contact them outside of ACE.
5. Training and Reports
Finally, ACE allows importers direct access to their information. There are a series of training videos dedicated to learning the ins and outs of ACE, providing detailed step-by-step instructions on the different management functions.Also, ACE updates data every night for the most up-to-date reports. Information included in ACE reports include:
- General information including cargo release and entry summary transaction details
- Financial monthly statement details
- Exports commodity transaction details
- In bond transaction details for manifest
