On October 4th, TRG’s staff gathered to celebrate an exciting milestone; our 25th Anniversary! The company celebrated by gathering for drinks and hors d’oeuvres after work at our office in downtown Bozeman, Montana. Staff members were encouraged to bring friends and family to the event and celebrate the history of TRG.
The evening was a great way to honor this milestone anniversary for the company and spend some time with our fellow employees. Here’s to many more years of serving the international trade community!
The History of TRG
It was on October 4, 1991, that John Michel started Trade Risk Guaranty in order to offer products and services to the trade industry directly from the insurance agency resulting in lower prices. At the start, U.S. Customs Bonds were the primary product, but Marine Cargo Insurance was soon added during the second year of business.
The offices of TRG were originally located in Chicago, Illinois but moved to Montana in 2005 after John Michel moved to Big Sky to revel in the beauty of the Northern Rockies. After becoming accustomed to the beauty of Montana, TRG established their office in Bozeman, Montana to tap into its large talent pool and growing infrastructure.
Through the 25 years in business, Trade Risk Guaranty has grown to become a full-service team providing importers with the tools they need to stay compliant with Customs and avoid claims during the importing process. TRG takes pride in working directly with importers to save them time and money, but ultimately to become a partner with small businesses to help them through the process of importing in the United States.
