TRG will notify your Customs broker once you decide the continual cost savings of purchasing your continuous Customs bond on your own is the right choice for you, all you need to do is fill out the application.

TRG does suggest that you do not notify your Customs broker of this change until the new Customs bond is in place. This is because the broker may decide to terminate the existing bond without notifying TRG. TRG will take care of the termination of the current Customs bond so there is no need to tell your broker until the new bond is in place. This is guaranty, there is no lapse in coverage.

How will my Customs Broker, or all my brokers, know that I have a new bond?

At your request, TRG will notify your broker(s) of your new continuous bond information including Bond Number, Effective Date, Surety Code, and Importer Number.
