At TRG we are continually accessing Customs & Border Protection’s website to remain up-to-date on regulations and provide our customers with timely information on Customs compliance. CBP’s website is a vital resource to the International trade community. Anyone can access information straight from the source by using search capabilities or easily identifying a legitimate point of contact. The wealth of information available coincides with CBP’s mission to enable importers and exporters to comply with the administration’s regulations.

A Few Resources for the International Trade Community

There are many useful websites that can act as gateways to knowledge for the international trade community. The following resources provide fast and accurate information straight from the source.

Video Tutorials – Have you thought about engaging in ACE or C-TPAT? CBP.gov has interactive video guides to help you become a participant in and get the most out of these programs. Follow these tutorials for a seamless transition to your CBP partnership in compliance.

Ports of Entry – This very simple link may be one of the handiest pages on CBP.gov as it has an interactive map of all the United States ports. Scroll to the absolute bottom of any page of the website and you will see a link labeled “ports”.

YouTube – CBP is with the times and engaging in social media. You can subscribe to and search Custom’s video channel here. By doing so you will find videos from CBP’s Fight Against Terrorism to a general CBP Trade Overview. You might also be surprised to see that CBP is on Twitter!

Forms – Have you ever asked yourself, “Why doesn’t Customs have easy access to all the different applications they require or what does a Customs Form look like?”  Good news for you. CBP.gov has a link to over 100 Customs’ PDF forms organized by the form reference number.

¿Habla usted español? – CBP.gov has information available in Spanish. Whether you, your colleagues or your vendors speak Spanish, this may come in handy every day!
