TRG Team Carves Ice with the Sweet Pea Festival

Trade Risk Guaranty assembles a TRG Team to participate in an ice carving event the Sweet Pea Festival organized in Bozeman, Montana.

Every August in Bozeman there is one event we all enjoy the build-up to; the Sweet Pea Festival. In order to promote awareness of the event throughout the year, the festival held an ice carving event this February for local artist and art enthusiast to show off their carving skills. This was the first event of its kind for the festival, but they hope to make it an annual occurrence.

Team Building with the TRG Team

A few of us in the office could not pass up the opportunity to take part in this unique event! So we quickly put together a small TRG Team with individuals at the office that didn’t already have epic weekend plans.

The best part of our team was that it was the first time any of us had ever attempted to carve ice so we all had to figure it out together. We decided to create the head of a Moai, the human figures found on Easter Island. According to the internet, this is a slightly easier form to carve for first-time ice carvers.

Even though only a few of us could attend, it was a great time spent together outside of the office engaging with the Bozeman community. And to make it even more exciting, two members of our team were featured in the local newspaper, the Bozeman Daily Chronicle. Check out their article on the event and don’t miss the picture of Johnny and Kevin from the TRG Team.
