Travis Smith is one of TRG’s top salesmen with over six years experience under his belt, and he shows no sign of slowing down.
After moving to Montana from Ohio several years ago, Travis Smith now proudly calls Bozeman, Montana his home. When he’s not rocking sales in our downtown office he can be found bombing down one of the many gorgeous trail systems in Big Sky Country on his mountain bike.
- Where are you from?
- Toledo, Ohio.
- What was your occupation before Trade Risk Guaranty?
- I was a carpenter—I built houses in Bozeman and the Yellowstone Club.
- What are your long-term career goals?
- I want to continue to grow here at TRG and build more relationships with clients.
- Do you have any children you’d claim as your own?
- Yes, my ten-month-old son Lander.
- Do you have any pets?
- Yes, my ten year-old-dog Tigger. He’s a Chesapeake Bay retriever.
- What is your favorite part about living in Montana?
- The mountains and the weather.
- What are some of your favorite hobbies?
- Biking and skiing.
- What is your main mode of transportation?
- I have a 2000 Subaru Impreza, that’s my reliable car. I have 1971 Jeep Jeepster that I drive when I can, but whenever possible I ride my Kona Jake the Snake cyclocross bike to and from work.
- What is your dream vacation spot?
- To go skiing and biking in Japan.
- What little known fact about you might surprise your co-workers?
- After college I lived in Japan for a year teaching English.
